THIS fluffy baby owl will be starting ‘owl school’ next week, before it is able to take to the skies.
The spectacled owl, a South American breed, was born six weeks ago at the Scottish Owl Centre in Whitburn, West Lothian and its sex is still unknown.
Keeper Trystan Williams, 48, said: ‘Usually the little ones don’t survive. I took the owlet into my house at a day old and hand-reared it. It’s like it is going to school; over the next six weeks it will learn to walk, hop, flap and fly.’
