THE Queen has asked if customers can fool modern tech to scam supermarkets.
She asked: ‘You can’t cheat then?’ as she was shown a self-service till’s weighing system yesterday.
The monarch was shown around a pop-up exhibition in Covent Garden, central London, which replicated elements of an original Sainsbury’s store for its 150th anniversary.
The Queen, 93, met 33 staff members and looked at a World War II ration book, before unveiling a plaque and cutting a cake.
The chain’s president, Lord John Sainsbury, called her visit ‘a great compliment’.
