A DAD was left open-mouthed when he found his bag of Wotsits contained just one cheesy puff.
Andy Stubbs, 43, took the bag from a multi-pack he’d bought weeks earlier and noticed it was full of air. ‘I shook it around, and realised there might only have been one Wotsit inside,’ he said.
He decided to keep it as a memento but was begged to open it by wife Jane after she saw the story of Steve Smith, 41, who discovered just a solitary baked bean in a Heinz tin, as reported by Metro last week.
They gathered at the kitchen table with sons Oscar, nine, and Harry, five, and filmed the moment the single Wotsit tumbled out.
Each packet should contain 42 puffs, said maker Walkers.
‘When I opened it, there was something slightly anti-climactic about it. We’d known for a while there was probably just one Wotsit,’ said software developer Mr Stubbs, of Sidcup, south-east London. ‘But it didn’t stop the whole thing from being funny.’
