A TORY dubbed the Christmas Humper over his affair with a fellow MP has apologised to his former office manager after she resigned, complaining of his ‘volatile’ behaviour.
Jack Lopresti was accused of treating Jo Kinsey (pictured with him below) ‘appallingly’ and of ‘bullying and harassing’ her. She quit his constituency office in 2017 and lodged a formal complaint.
Bosses agreed he may have broken the Tory conduct code but the only upshot after a two-year wait was the brief apology. He said sorry for any action ‘however inadvertent’ that made her unhappy. Mr Lopresti told the BBC he denied the allegations and had concerns about the inquiry process.
The Filton and Bradley Stoke MP and fellow Tory Andrea Jenkyns were pictured leaving a festive party in elf jumpers as their affair emerged in 2015. The pair married after he left his wife for her.
