ARE you mankini enough? The return of Borat seems to have sparked a second wave of the swimwear trend on Australia’s beaches.

Forty beachgoers slipped into the togs made famous by Sacha Baron Cohen’s comedy character in his 2006 mockumentary. They also wore masks featuring Borat’s famed moustache as they descended on Bondi beach yesterday. The sequel, called Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, was also promoted by a 20ft statue of Borat, flown in by helicopter.

And in London a 40ft inflatable Borat sailed along the Thames yesterday bearing the Kazakhstan flag and the slogan ‘Wear mask. Save Live.’ The film debuts today on Amazon Prime Video.
