THREE housemates filmed themselves re-creating their busy morning commute at home — by turning their shower into a Tube carriage.
Rowan Akin-Smith, 26, Felix McKechnie, 27, and Pablo Hutchinson, 25, made the video as a way to break up the monotony of the lockdown.
The film shows the trio reading and looking at their phones as they cram into the shower cubicle in Clapham, south London. An audio clip found on YouTube calls out the Jubilee line stations on their makeshift train.
The three take turns exiting and rushing on to the ‘Tube’, squeezing past each other as they step through their sliding shower door.
Another friend flicks the bathroom light on and off to replicate travelling through a tunnel. Mr Akin-Smith, who works in sales, said: ‘People keep saying it’s important to keep a routine now we’re working from home.
‘So we thought, why not re-create our old routine? We’ve got nothing else to do in the evenings. We did it as an entry for a virtual pub quiz.’
However, he is not missing his normal commute on the Northern line, confessing: ‘I’m actually rejoicing at not having to do that.’
Asked if the lads are planning any more films, Mr Akin-Smith said: ‘One idea was for a mock pub in our kitchen. That could be fun.’
