Vic Reeves is not a Fleabag fan

VIC And Bob star Jim Moir has admitted he does not like modern British comedies such as Fleabag.

The comedian (pictured) — better known by his stage name Vic Reeves and famous for his cult early-1990s show Big Night Out with fellow comic Bob Mortimer — told Radio Times magazine he usually gives comedies ‘a three-minute glance’ before deciding whether he likes them and that it’s ‘usually not’.

‘I don’t really like British comedy,’ he said, before going on to single out for criticism Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s much raved about show.

‘What’s that one that people seem to like so much? Fleabag. I watched that and it was that sort of Oxbridge “Oh, I’m so clever and witty, aren’t I?”

‘I don’t like that stuff.’

But it’s not just the supposedly highbrow that ‘Vic’ has a problem with.

‘I don’t like Mrs Brown’s Boys either,’ he said. ‘I like things that are clever but hide it.’
