VANESSA KIRBY says Tom Cruise taught her a lot about work ethic and discipline on his latest blockbuster.
The actress, who was Princess Margaret in The Crown, co-stars with the 56-year-old in Mission Impossible: Fallout.
‘He’s unbelievably present and energetic and enthusiastic and doesn’t let up for a second, he loves making films,’ she said. ‘I learnt a lot about work ethic and discipline.’
The Londoner, who plays White Widow, also caught the fitness bug from Cruise. ‘I learnt how important physical fitness is as an actor, which I never even thought about before.’
Kirby, 30, who dates actor Callum Turner, 28, had to juggle filming The Crown while travelling to Paris to shoot the sixth instalment of Mission Impossible. ‘It was a great challenge to play two completely different people and try not to be Margaret without a wig!’ she told the BBC.
She said Helena Bonham Carter, who plays the princess in the new series, had texted her from the set and they felt ‘really linked’.
