A TV SPORTS producer has admitted sex offences after he was tricked by a paedophile-hunting group to meet what he thought was a 13-year-old girl.

Kieran Creaven, who works for Irish broadcaster RTÉ, flew from Dublin to Leeds to meet a ‘girl’ he had groomed online. But when the 55-year-old arrived, he was met by members of Predator Exposure who created the fictional teenager and streamed the encounter live.

Creaven, of Dublin, pleaded guilty at Leeds crown court to trying to meet a child after grooming her for a sexual purpose and attempting to cause or incite a child to engage in sexual activity. He was again confronted by Predator Exposure when he was bailed to be sentenced on February 12.

Police have said such groups can harm inquiries but one member, Phil, said: ‘On the 27 we’ve got, where were the police then?’
