Tottenham prepared to reopen Antonio Rudiger racism case

TOTTENHAM would reopen investigations into Antonio Rudiger’s allegations of racist abuse from Spurs fans if any new information is found.

Chelsea defender Rudiger (pictured) has said ‘racism won’ after no evidence was found to back up the Germany defender’s claims he heard monkey noises from fans, leading to play being stopped during the Blues’ 2-0 win at Tottenham in December.

Spurs originally said they were unable to ‘corroborate or contradict’ the allegation after an investigation but have reaffirmed their support for the Chelsea star, after Rudiger said the outcome had left him feeling ‘alone’. Tottenham said in a statement: ‘An exhaustive investigation was undertaken with the Metropolitan Police following the player’s allegation and we remain open to revisiting this should any new information come to light.’
