THREE young men were killed and four people injured when a brawl at a bowling alley erupted into gunfire.

Witnesses said children were among those running for their lives when shots rang out at the Gable House Bowl in Torrance, Southern California.

The families of the three victims, Astin Edwards, 28, Robert Meekins, 28, and Michael Radford, 20, said they were all trying to break up the fight when a gunman ‘just started unloading’. Mr Meekins’ mother Anglean Hubbard said: ‘My son was a loving person. He loved life, he loved his son, and he loved his family. Nobody can imagine what I’m going through right now.’

California Democratic Senator Kamala Harris said her ‘heart breaks for the victims’. ‘Americans should be able to go to a bowling alley and be safe,’ she tweeted.
