THREE children died when a pleasure boat capsized off the Normandy coast in France.
Rescuers could not save the two girls aged nine and 13, and a seven-year-old boy — but three adults on board survived after being thrown into the sea. Their identities have not been released but they lived in Argentan, Normandy.
A witness reported seeing the 18ft craft in trouble on Monday about half a mile off the coast, near the town of Agon-Coutainville.
Rescuer Pascal Dutot said it was partially underwater and he had to use the boat’s anchor to break the cabin window to reach the trapped children.
