Revisit the 1920s in a traditional chalet

Combining the chocolate-box charm of a traditional Swiss chalet with the opulence of the grand mountain hotels of the 1920s, the Experimental Chalet opens in Verbier in December just in time for the first fondue of the season. It will also revamp Verbier’s legendary Farm Club to its former glory, when it was a popular haunt of the likes of David Bowie and Diana Ross. Doubles from £276 B&B, experimentalchalet.com
