Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival
The highlight of the historic market town’s carnival is the centuries-old tradition of ‘squibbing’ — the simultaneous firing of fireworks (squibs) — lighting up Bridgwater’s High Street in unison. There’s a carnival parade with prizes and it’s preceded by a day of entertainment with jugglers, stilt walkers, street theatre, marching bands and live music.
