STUART ARMSTRONG insists Scotland had to produce under huge pressure as they sealed a dramatic 1-0 World Cup qualifying win over Slovenia.
With boss Gordon Strachan’s future in question and the need to get a result to keep their hopes alive, Armstrong (pictured) admitted it was not an easy international camp.
The victory on Sunday has left Scotland two points off Slovakia in second place in Group F and debutant Celtic midfielder Armstrong said: ‘I think everyone knew it was a must-win and we delivered. We dominated the game and got what we deserved.
‘We had trained well all week, there was a good atmosphere, and it’s important sometimes to stay positive when things aren’t going the way you want them to. We responded really well.’
