Stalker who screamed abuse at BBC DJ jailed

A STALKER who hurled abuse at a BBC DJ and his family outside their home has been jailed.

Sarah Jayne Rook, 44, was sentenced to 26 weeks behind bars and has been given an indefinite restraining order after being found guilty of ‘persistently’ stalking 6Music presenter Gilles Peterson and racially abusing a woman police officer.

The DJ, 55, whose real surname is Moehrle, previously told a court that Rook repeatedly turned up outside his north London home. During one expletive-filled barrage lasting up to 30 minutes, she called Mr Moehrle’s wife Atsuko a ‘Hiroshima bitch’.

In addition to a 22-week sentence for stalking, Rook (pictured), of Surbiton, south-west London, was given 26 weeks for racially aggravated harassment to be served concurrently.
