TRACEY EMIN has revealed her ‘soul destroying’ insomnia in a new art show that also pays tribute to her late mum.
A Fortnight Of Tears — Emin’s exhibition at London’s White Cube gallery — includes 50 self-portraits taken on her phone during sleepless nights filled with ‘dark thoughts’.
The artist, famous for her unmade bed, said: ‘All my life I have been taking photos of myself before it was a selfie.’
Emin, 55, whose mum Pam died in 2016, also includes a huge bronze sculpture, The Mother, and a video of a wooden box containing her dead mother’s ashes. The exhibition runs until April 7.
