Roo-de awakening is awaiting Fulham

CHAMPIONSHIP

PHILLIP COCU believes a Derby side boasting Wayne Rooney will be a different proposition for third-placed Fulham tonight to the one crushed 3-0 at Craven Cottage in November.

The Rams have lost just two of the 11 games in which Rooney has played and Cocu said: ‘We have a better shape and the confidence is better than when we played at Craven Cottage.

‘If we can get a good result, we can confirm we are on the right track.’

Fulham go into the game after a 3-0 loss to Barnsley and boss Scott Parker said: ‘The most important thing when you are sitting where we are in the league is not to be knee-jerk.’
