HE is famous for his vivid portrayals of gangsters in blockbuster movies like Goodfellas and The Godfather II.
Now Robert De Niro is bringing a taste of Hollywood to Britain — starring in a commercial for Warburtons bagels. The 75-year-old plays an amalgam of his mobster characters in the TV ad, entitled GoodBagels.
And his co-star this time isn’t Ray Liotta or Al Pacino, it’s Warburtons’ chairman Jonathan Warburton.
De Niro is not the first big name to earn some dough by making an ad for the Bolton baker — he follows Sylvester Stallone and The Muppets. He said: ‘It was a pleasure to fly to the UK to film this ad and star alongside Jonathan.’
