CHILDREN have been painting rainbows and putting them in their windows to bring smiles to passers-by during the coronavirus outbreak.
From Scotland to Somerset, pupils stuck at home since schools shut last week have enthusiastically embraced the colourful trend witnessed all over the world. In Oldham, Greater Manchester, Vicky Corbley’s children plastered a rainbow in her kitchen window with the cheerful messages ‘don’t worry’ and ‘we’ll get through’.
‘I think we all need all the positivity we can get right now,’ said the mum, 33. ‘Plus it’s keeping kids busy, too!’
