Available to brew: Built-in boozer and (below) the £800,000 house from outside PICTURE: RIGHTMOVE

FOR sale — a Victorian home boasting four bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom… and a bar-room.

The £800,000 house is being marketed with that ominous estate agent’s phrase ‘requires modernisation throughout’.

But although you may have to work up a sweat stripping off the wallpaper, at least you can sit down and relax afterwards with a refreshing pint.

The home in a terrace in trendy Hackney, east London, looks no different to its neighbours from the outside.

But a large back room on the first floor is kitted out like a classic British boozer, with stools facing an elegant wooden bar complete with beer pumps and optics for the spirits. It’s just like walking in to the Dog and Duck — except perhaps for the spectacular stained-glass ceiling.

The home’s Rightmove listing says it has a double storey rear extension, with a large bathroom on the ground floor with two bedrooms downstairs. It suggests the buyer could turn the bar into bedrooms to make space for more reception rooms.

But if that sounds like too much trouble you can just order in a few dozen barrels of bitter and have one hell of a house-warming.
