PRINCESS CHARLOTTE proved to be the royal star attraction yesterday, outshining even mum Kate.
She beamed as she graciously received her first official bouquet and earlier — in true two-year-old fashion — used her hands and feet to scamper up the steps of a waiting plane.
Her antics stole the show as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said goodbye to Poland.
In contrast, her brother was grumpy George, tugging at dad William’s hand as the duke attempted to bid farewell to dignitaries after a two-day visit that celebrated the nation’s history, culture and close ties with the UK.
After a short flight from Warsaw to Berlin, Charlotte descended the plane’s steps at a slower pace, holding on to the rail and clasping Kate’s fingers with her other hand. Till Knorn, Germany’s head of protocol, gave the young princess and her mother posies. George, who will be four on Saturday, squirmed and buried his face in his arm as William chatted to Britain’s ambassador.
Later, Kate was the recipient of enthusiastic hugs from children during a visit with William to Berlin’s Strassenkinder, an organisation that helps disadvantaged young people.
