THE Duchess of Sussex gives Beyoncé a hug as her husband has a quiet word with Disney chairman Bob Iger… about voiceover work for his wife.
Prince Harry collared the Disney boss at the premiere of The Lion King in London last July. During a hushed conversation, caught on camera by a fan, Harry points towards Meghan and says: ‘You do know she does voiceovers?’
Mr Iger can be heard replying: ‘Ah, I did not know that.’
The prince responds: ‘You seem surprised. She’s really interested.’
The Disney chief executive then says: ‘We’d love to try. That’s a great idea.’
Meghan went on to sign a voiceover deal with the Walt Disney Company in exchange for a donation to Elephants Without Borders, an African wildlife charity close to Harry’s heart. She recorded it before they left for their six-week Christmas break in Canada.
The voiceover job could be a hint towards how the couple plan to become ‘financially independent’.
Experts say they could also earn up to $100million (£76million) a year by becoming brand ambassadors for a global giant such as Apple.
