Police remove ‘aggressive’ couple from diverted flight

‘Au revoir’: The man is met by police after the plane landed in Bordeaux

TWO passengers had to be escorted off a diverted easyJet flight by police after becoming aggressive towards the cabin crew.

The couple were met by officers when the plane, which left Gatwick Airport for Gibraltar, landed in Bordeaux, France, on Monday night.

Footage from inside the plane shows other passengers cheering and saying ‘au revoir’ as the man and woman were led off.

Emma-Claire Wilson, who flew back from Gibraltar to the UK on the same plane, told Mirror Online that staff said the couple were removed ‘due to aggression and violence towards the crew which made the flight unsafe to continue’.

A spokesman for easyJet said: ‘The safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew is always our highest priority.’
