PETRA ECCLESTONE is downsizing to an £18million mansion after selling her old Los Angeles home for a record £95million.
The 30-year-old daughter of Formula One’s Bernie Ecclestone has sold the 123-bedroom property — the biggest in LA — to a mystery buyer.
Agents handling the sale told the Los Angeles Times it is ‘a done deal’. She bought the pile, known as The Manor, for £67.5million in 2011 and embarked on a huge makeover. Many rooms were overhauled with a nightclub and fish tanks added.
There is a hair salon, massage parlour, tanning room and bowling alley. A swimming pool, spa and tennis court are in the grounds. Petra first put the 56,500 sq ft Holmby Hills chateau, which is bigger than the White House, up for sale in 2016.
But in 2018 she moved from London to live there permanently after her divorce from James Stunt. In an interview with W Magazine about the property, the heiress said: ‘I was living in an apartment before, in London, so it’s a change. I know the house is huge, and yes, it really is quite overwhelming, but with the other houses we looked at that were a similar size to this, you felt like you were in a museum.’
But Petra (pictured), soon to marry car salesman Sam Palmer, won’t be moving too far away.
Records show she recently bought a new £18million mansion in Brentwood, a few miles west.
