THE fashion empire of Harvey Weinstein’s estranged wife was facing a crisis last night.
Hollywood stylists threatened to snub British-born Georgina Chapman’s Marchesa label, even though she has left the disgraced film boss.
He has admitted pressuring Renée Zellweger, 48, to wear one of his wife’s designs to a premiere of 2004 movie Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason. It is also alleged he did the same to Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman, 54, and Sienna Miller, 35. The label was set up by mum-of-two Ms Chapman, 41, in 2004. But one top stylist last night said: ‘No star is ever going to want to wear the brand again.’
Ms Chapman revealed her split from Weinstein yesterday, adding: ‘My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered pain.’
Weinstein said he supported her decision. ‘I am in counselling and perhaps, when I am better, we can rebuild,’ he said.
