PLACIDO DOMINGO has denied accusations that he tried to pressure women into sexual relationships by offering them jobs and punishing them professionally when they refused his advances.
Eight singers and a dancer have claimed they were sexually harassed by the opera star. The encounters allegedly took place over three decades, beginning in the late 1980s. One accuser said married Domingo, 78, stuck his hand down her skirt. Others claim he tried to kiss them.
The singer said in a statement that the allegations were ‘deeply troubling’ and ‘inaccurate’.
He added: ‘I believed that all of my interactions and relationships were always welcomed and consensual.’
