Murder cops arrest Abu Hamza’s son over doorman killing

Charged: Imran Kamel

THE son of hook-handed hate preacher Abu Hamza has been arrested by police investigating the murder of a doorman at a VIP New Year sex party.

Imran Mostafa Kamel was seized after Tudor Simionov, 33, was stabbed in the chest as he fought off nine violent gatecrashers at the glitzy £2,000-a-table event in London’s Mayfair.

The 26-year-old was allegedly seen moments later, yards from the scene, carrying a gun. He has been charged with possession of a firearm while prohibited for life, with intent to cause fear or danger. His father, the former imam of Finsbury Park Mosque, North London, is serving life without parole in a US maximum security jail for terror offences.

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the stabbing of former boxer and rower Mr Simionov, who wasmonitoring security footage at the event on Park Lane when the group tried to storm the entrance just before 5.30am on January 1.

Videos posted online show the churchgoer helping colleagues to tackle the intruders, before staff hurl vases at the gang as they flee.

The victim’s girlfriend Madalina Anghel plans to take his body back to their native Romania for burial — just two months after they moved to the UK for a better life. ‘The loss is impossible,’ she told friends.

Well-known club promoter Tommy Mack said the event’s organiser had invited wealthy clients such as ‘Arab princes’ to mingle with young women at the event in a luxury townhouse.

‘It was a private party but word got out and the bad element turned up,’ he said. ‘There were some lovely girls there and guests had paid thousands to book a table — they did not want thugs ruining their night.’

A resident who lives near the house told The Sun: ‘There were girls dressed in sexy outfits and lingerie coming in and out. It looked like a sex-themed event — high heels, corsets and so on.’

Two other doormen, aged 29 and 37, and a 29-year-old woman who worked booking tables, were also stabbed. Their injuries were non-life threatening.

Hamza, 60, worked as a bouncer at Soho strip clubs after coming to Britain from Egypt in 1979, before embracing radical Islam.
