TWO men snatched a mother and her toddler out on a walk and raped her in an ordeal lasting up to seven hours.
The woman, in her 30s, was with her child near a boating lake when a dark coloured saloon car drove towards them along a ramp near the seafront in Redcar, Teesside, on Friday.
Two men — one with ‘love’ tattooed across his knuckles — forced the mother and her child to get into the back. They drove to Yearby off the A174 where the woman was raped. Police said the pair were let out of the car on Kirkleatham Lane hours later.
Police said the driver, who had the tattoo, was white, in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5ft 7in to 5ft 10in tall, with short, brown hair and a large build.
His passenger was also white, in his early 20s, about 5ft 5in to 5ft 6in tall, of medium build, clean shaven, with brown hair and a local accent.
Acting DCI Matt Murphy-King said: ‘This has been a very traumatic ordeal for the victim and her child. Thankfully, incidents of this nature are rare and this is an isolated incident.’
