THE Duchess of Sussex has celebrated her first US Mother’s Day — with a picture of baby Archie’s feet.
The image was shared on the royal couple’s Instagram yesterday of Meghan cradling her son’s tiny toes.
It comes after husband Prince Harry said Archie was ‘to die for’.
Also in the photo were forget-me-not flowers — a favourite of Princess Diana, Prince Harry’s late mother who died when he was just 12 years old. Its caption read: ‘Paying tribute to all mothers today, past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered. We honour and celebrate each and every one of you.’
The post was accompanied by the poem Lands by Nayyirah Waheed. ‘My mother was my first country; the first place I ever lived,’ it reads. While Mother’s Day in the UK is in March, in the US it was yesterday.
Archie, seventh in line to the throne, was born weighing 7lb 3oz a week ago. But the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not make their son’s birth certificate public as his delivery remains shrouded in secrecy.
It is believed he was delivered at London’s Portland Hospital, where childbirth packages cost up to £20,000.
