IT would be a fashion faux pas for any woman, but if you’re Meghan Markle even a tiny style slip will get noticed.
So it proved yesterday when a temporary tacking stitch — which should have been snipped off — was visible holding together her coat vent.
But it didn’t stop the £330 J. Crew navy coat, with striking white edging, selling out in most shops and online.
Meghan, 36, who was on a walkabout outside Millennium Point, Birmingham, with fiancé Prince Harry, was also in black cropped trousers by Alexander Wang, a white AllSaints jumper and Manolo Blahnik BB Pointy Toe Pumps.
Her handbag was the £1,150 Ghianda Saddle Bag by Altuzarra, according to fashion blogger Meghansmirror.
Hug and a pep talk from the bride-to-be
MEGHAN Markle was generous with her hugs and career advice as she marked International Women’s Day with Prince Harry.
On their walkabout before an event to celebrate girls pursuing science and tech, Harry found out that Sophia Richards, ten, wanted to be an actress. He took her to his fiancée, who gave her a hug.
‘Meghan told me I can achieve whatever I want to achieve. She said she’d like to see me on TV when I become an actress. It was a dream come true,’ said Sophia.
