Mason Greenwood England talk is a little premature for Manchester United boss Solskjaer

THE idea of fast-tracking Mason Greenwood into the senior England set-up is premature, insists Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Eighteen-year-old Greenwood has impressed hugely this season, scoring nine goals for Manchester United in 26 appearances and bagging his first England Under-21s goal.

The striker started the FA Cup draw at Wolves and is likely to be involved in tonight’s third-round replay but his club boss thinks it is too soon to talk of him in relation to this year’s European Championship.

Solskjaer said: ‘I think Mason will have a top career, a long career, but let the boy settle in now before we talk about England and the Euros.

‘His focus has to be playing for us and improving. When he plays well, that will happen by itself.’
