Love ghost? Remodel that scene

Model potters: Moore and Swayze PICTURE: REX

WHAT do you get for the Valentine who has everything? Cineworld says it has the answer. It is offering ‘Valentine’s Clay’ romantic pottery classes for anyone who books a VIP screening of 1990 blockbuster Ghost on February 14.

Yes, it’s mortifying, but if there’s even a small part of you that’s up for channelling your inner Patrick Swayze or Demi Moore at a pottery class for two, this is the time. Then you’ll get to enjoy a light buffet before watching the movie.

In the film, a topless Patrick Swayze sits behind Demi Moore as she rather erotically moulds wet clay on a potter’s wheel. They then abandon the wheel in favour of a loving embrace. Classes take place in a VIP lounge to the soundtrack of The Righteous Brothers’ Unchained Melody, just as in the famously sultry scene.

The experience is billed as being ‘perfect for couples or friends’. If perfect means awkward, we agree.

Available in cinemas in York, London and Glasgow, also included in the ticket price are unlimited nachos, hot dogs, popcorn and soft drinks. If that’s not romantic, I don’t know what is.
