A WOMAN lured her boyfriend into an ambush in which her new lover beat him so badly with a baseball bat that brain matter was left spattered on the road.

Crystal Culhane, 22, was on a date night at James White’s house when she texted Paul Flory and asked him to visit her in the early hours.

When he arrived and got out of his car, Culhane kept him talking on the phone as White, 22, struck.

Mr Flory, 33, survived but still cannot recall what happened.

Police found parts of his brain at the scene in Uxbridge, north-west London. When detectives searched White’s flat they found bloody clothing that matched CCTV images. Culhane — who had been the attacker’s sweetheart in their teens — was arrested later in the day as she tried to visit Mr Flory in hospital.

White was sentenced to 11 years for grievous bodily harm with intent at the Old Bailey.

But Culhane got a two-year suspended sentence because she was suffering from PTSD after a car crash. Met police Det Sgt Jaspal Bains said: ‘This was a horrible and senseless attack.’
