Lark Davies brace too much for Canada

D-Day: Davies bagged a double

England 27 — 19 Canada

LARK DAVIES inspired England to a 27-19 victory over Canada to put the hosts one win away from recording an unblemished autumn.

The Worcester Valkyries hooker scored two of her side’s five tries in at Doncaster’s Castle Park.

England led only 15-7 at half-time and Canada threatened a fightback after the interval until Kelly Smith and Abbie Scott crossed to put the result beyond doubt.

The United States were toppled 57-5 last week to launch the autumn series, which concludes with Saturday’s showdown against Ireland at Twickenham.
