WHILE news of coronavirus symptoms in the camp dominated Leicester’s build-up to tomorrow’s game with Watford, boss Brendan Rodgers also revealed right-back Ricardo Pereira is out for the rest of the season.
The Portugal international, who had started all but one of 29 Premier League games this term, suffered anterior cruciate ligament damage against Aston Villa on Monday and will be out for four to six months.
Rodgers said ahead of the trip to Watford: ‘Ricardo Pereira had a challenge and has hurt his ACL. He’s not had an operation. He’s just with the medical team.
‘It’s a blow for us. It’s an opportunity for someone else. It’s a shame.
‘You’ve just got to see how the player reacts. Four to six months will be the time we are expecting.’
