WONDERKID Gabriel Jesus has been outed as an unlikely fan of the wireless. Local radio, to be precise.
The Manchester City star, who has burst onto the Premier League scene over the past week and scored both goals in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Swansea, is getting some help finding his feet in the city.
And team-mate Fernandinho, Jesus’ fellow Brazilian, who has been translating for the 19-year-old, has now recommended he listens to local radio to pick up the Mancunian accent.
A source told The Sun: ‘Fernandinho has taken him under his wing. He was helped in learning English by listening to BBC Manchester.
‘Jesus is starting to learn some local bits and pieces as well, he calls people “mate” and is a nice lad.’
Meanwhile, the forward reportedly also took a 600-yard Uber taxi journey from his barber’s to his hotel to avoid the Manchester rain yesterday. He’s learning already…
