THE Jeremy Kyle Show has been pulled off air indefinitely by ITV following the death of a guest one week after the programme in which they featured was recorded.

This morning’s episode of the confrontational talk show did not air, and was replaced with Dickinson’s Real Deal.

The episode featuring the participant who died will be submitted for a review due to the ‘seriousness of this event’, ITV said.

Filming and broadcasting of the programme will be suspended while the review is being conducted.

An ITV spokeswoman said: ‘Everyone at ITV and The Jeremy Kyle Show is shocked and saddened at the news of the death of a participant in the show a week after the recording of the episode they featured in and our thoughts are with their family and friends.

‘ITV will not screen the episode in which they featured.’

The identity of the person who appeared in the programme has not been revealed.

The tabloid talk show, which has held its regular daytime slot on ITV since 2005, sees host Kyle and psychotherapist Graham Stanier help the guests talk through their personal issues in front of a studio audience.

A celebrity edition of the show starring former X Factor contestant Christopher Maloney and ex-EastEnders actress Danniella Westbrook was due to air on Tuesday, but will be rescheduled, according to both stars

Westbrook tweeted: ‘I’ve just been informed @ITVJeremyKyle will now not be airing tomorrow .. Im hoping you guys get to see it at a later date but catch me on @loosewomen tomorrow.’

Westbrook later told her followers that she will not be appearing on Loose Women either.
