WEST END star Alfie Boe said it was an ‘honour’ to receive his OBE from the Prince of Wales yesterday.
The 46-year-old tenor, who played Jean Valjean in Les Misérables, collected his award at Buckingham Palace for services to music and charity.
Alfie (pictured) said the prince ‘spoke about how I keep going on and singing strong’.
Charles also presented Turner Prize winner Rachel Whiteread, 56, with her damehood for services to art at the investiture ceremony. She called the occasion ‘nerve-racking but nice’.
