MEGHAN MARKLE struggled with mastering the stiff upper lip during her first official event with the Queen after Prince Harry left her in a fit of giggles

The US actress creased up after her fiancé appeared to raise his eyebrows in bemusement at pop star Liam Payne during the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.

It was unclear if he was passing comment about the former One Direction star’s singing or whether he was bemused by a cringeworthy moment when the 24-year-old fist-bumped his two band members after performing an acoustic version of John Mayer’s Waiting On The World To Change.

Snap royal review: Harry and Meghan were seen exchanging glances after Liam Payne’s performance. The prince then raised his eyebrow, causing his bride-to-be to crease up with laughter at the Westminster Abbey service

Either way, Harry didn’t seem to rate it, and his glance made Meghan drop her head and chuckle into her Amanda Wakeley dress and coat.

The couple may have thought the entertainment was laughable but Payne was proud that he got to sing for them and Harry’s grandmother. He posted on Instagram: ‘Such an honour to be asked to perform at the #CommonwealthDay service in front of @theroyalfamily!’

The event marked a major milestone for Meghan as it was the first time she was on an official engagement with the Queen (below), who, in her Commonwealth Day message, praised the ‘connection’ that allowed 53 nations to bond and celebrate ‘diversity’.
