IRAN is to raise its enrichment of uranium in the second breach of its 2015 nuclear deal in less than a week.

A government spokesman said it will go beyond the cap of 3.67 per cent enrichment to five per cent.

Yesterday French president Emmanuel Macron spoke to his Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rouhani, in a bid to resume dialogue.

It comes a year after Donald Trump withdrew the US from the deal and reimposed sanctions, blocking Iran’s oil sales abroad.

Tehran has repeatedly warned Europe that it will walk away from the accord over the sanctions.
