LABOUR MP Jo Stevens has been admitted to hospital as she continues to battle Covid.
The shadow culture secretary’s team revealed via her Twitter account: ‘Jo has asked us to let you know she is being treated in hospital for Covid-19. Thanks for all your good wishes, we will give an update when we can.’
Ms Stevens’ staff previously revealed, on New Year’s Eve, that the 54-year-old Cardiff Central MP had been ‘laid low with Covid-19 for a while’.
Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer said: ‘Get well soon Jo, a dear friend and colleague.’
Welsh first minister Mark Drakeford said: ‘All of our thoughts and best wishes are with Jo for a speedy recovery.’
