FULHAM rounded off a busy and productive deadline day by splashing out a club-record £30million on Marseille midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa.
That was their fifth signing of the day as they prepare for their top-flight return after Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan arrived for £6m, while Atletico Madrid forward Luciano Vietto, Sevilla goalkeeper Sergio Rico and Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah signed loan deals.
Not only the busiest club on deadline day, the Cottagers have brought in a dozen players over the summer.
Cameroon international Zambo Anguissa, who has penned a five-year deal, was a first-team regular at Marseille and played in last season’s Europa League final defeat to Atletico Madrid.
The 22-year-old said: ‘I’m delighted to have signed for Fulham. This is a new chapter in my career and one I’m really looking forward to. I hope to bring my qualities to this new project.’
