BRITAIN’S ‘sexiest police officer’ has been flooded with filthy offers from women desperate to get arrested after he was promoted to assistant chief constable.
Former Ch Supt Jim Colwell has made pulses on his patch race during his career with a string of female admirers.
Now, following promotion to Asst Ch Con, scores of admirers have taken to social media offering to turn themselves in so they could spend a night in the cells with the dishy officer — with some even threatening to rob a bank in order to do so.

Charlie Sibley wrote: ‘Might go rob a bank.’
Marie Shears said: ‘I’m on a mission to get us arrested next time we’re out.’
Sharon Jewell said: ‘I’m defo no cop lover but I soooo would! Think I may just go get arrested.’
And Carolina Baldwin simply wrote: ‘Arrest me.’
Jim, who is married with children, will take up the new position in July.
Ch Con Shaun Sawyer said: ‘Following a strong selection process, I’m proud to welcome Chief Supt Colwell to become assistant chief constable.
‘Jim has policed across Devon, Cornwall and Plymouth throughout his career so brings exceptional experience to my command team and the wider communities of the region.’
Ch Supt Colwell tweeted: ’18 years ago to the day I joined Devon and Cornwall Constabulary.
‘Yesterday I was humbled to be offered a permanent role as an Assistant Chief Constable.
‘My mum, if she were still with us, would have smiled about that. God bless you mum, this one’s for you.’
Jim also faced a similar barrage of female requests when he was last promoted in 2016.
