Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield save Christmas with live nativity play

HOLLY WILLOUGHBY and Phillip Schofield have stepped in to rescue Christmas by putting on their own live nativity play amid concerns the General Election will disrupt pupils’ usual festive plans, ITV has said.

With schools across the country often used as polling stations and election day set for December 12, fears have surfaced that nativity plays and Christmas concerts might not go ahead.

But This Morning hosts Holly and Phil have offered to save the day by putting on their own live nativity play, joined by children from Northwood Park Primary School in Wolverhampton — and ‘members of the extended This Morning family’.

‘I can’t wait to reignite This Morning’s nativity tradition this year. It’s what Christmases are made for!’ Phillip said.

Holly added: ‘What’s Christmas without a nativity play? And the fact we get to help make a class of young children’s Christmas dreams come true is the star on top of the tree.’
