A TERRACED house collapsed leaving a gaping hole in a street where homes fetch more than £1.5million.
The two-storey property in West Hampstead suffered total failure with floors and the frontage reduced to rubble.
The roof was also left hanging precariously without support.
Residents living next to the boarded-up home were told to leave as firefighters tried to make the property safe.
London Fire Brigade said: ‘There has been a total collapse of the two-storey property from the roof to basement level.
‘Ten people were evacuated from neighbouring properties. There are no reported injuries.
‘Firefighters are making the scene safe and are working with the local authority’s structural engineer.’
