Hidden in plain sight… can you spot weapons?

A ‘SPOT the knives’ challenge has been set by police to show how weapons are hidden in public places by criminals.

Walls, shrubbery, trees and gardens are often used to ‘park’ blades so other offenders can pick them up, photos posted by Greater Manchester Police reveal.

Assistant Chief Constable Rob Potts said: ‘It’s a sad fact that people are not only carrying knives, but also hiding them in and around public places.’

The public can help remove offensive weapons from the streets if they stay eagle-eyed, officers added.
