Hair we go: Newborn baby’s full head of hair found to cause mum’s heartburn

Marvelous mullet: Baby Vienna was born with a full head of hair

A MUM who suffered from regular heartburn during her pregnancy has managed to figure out why — and it’s all due to the amount of thick hair on her baby’s head.

Jemma Bellingham, 27, said she often suffered heartburn when she was expecting her second child Vienna.

The baby arrived with thick brown hair and is already needing her first haircut, despite being just over three months old.

Jemma, from Plymouth, Devon, said: ‘She had absolutely loads of hair when she was born. Every single nurse was shocked and said they had never seen so much hair on a newborn.

‘I had an image in my head of what she was going to look like so thought that maybe she would have lots of hair. But I didn’t think it was going to be so thick.’

‘No one believed it when we went on holiday to the Maldives and Abu Dhabi recently. Everyone was looking at her — everyone in the queue thought she was a little doll or something.

Jemma, who also has a seven-year-old son, had previously been told she wouldn’t be able to have another child, so news she was expecting a second came as quite a shock to her and husband Mark.

Jemma said: ‘We went five years thinking we weren’t going to have any more so she was really unexpected.

‘She is so adorable and her hair is on another planet.’
