LITTLE MIX have a major advantage over their former boss Simon Cowell’s ITV show The X Factor: The Band.
That’s because the girl band will be their own star guest every week on the upcoming talent show The Search. ‘The live show will be amazing as we will be performing every night,’ said Jesy, adding their BBC series will be ‘f***ing amazing’.
She explained: ‘I want to look for something completely different. I think there is such a stigma with bands, which is such a shame. I love bands. I am so waiting for another band to absolutely smash it. I still think there is the possibility of that happening, especially with K-pop and all of that.
‘I would like another boy group. I’d like an R’n’B boy group that are soulful and can dance. And another girl group would be sick. We are out here on our own. I want them to be able to dance, sing, harmonies — the full works.’
■ WHILE she might be a Celebrity Gogglebox favourite with her sofa put-downs, Jesy is terrified of making showbiz hopefuls on The Search cry over her criticism.
After surviving The X Factor ride herself, she said: ‘When I am at home and watching TV, I am the most opinionated person ever when it comes to music. But when they are there in front of me, it is going to be a lot harder because I have lived that. I know that feeling when someone is nervous. It can completely change who you are as a person and your voice, which is s***.
‘You don’t really get to see the full potential. We think we are going to be brutal, but when it comes to it we’ll be softies. If someone started crying there is no way you can sit there and be horrible.’
