Good As Hell Lizzo’s help for fire victims

Star support: Lizzo with volunteer

LIZZO became the latest celebrity to rush to the aid of victims of Australia’s bush fires when she turned up to volunteer at a foodbank in Melbourne.

The Good As Hell singer donned a high-vis vest and mucked in with hundreds of other helpers to pack food hampers for families caught up in the crisis.

The 31-year-old, currently on tour Down Under, told fans in a video message: ‘This is a global crisis. I think sometimes we have a really micro, almost nationalist, view of what’s going on and think, “Oh, well, that’s not going to happen to us, that’s not our problem, that’s another country”. But this is the Earth and we share this as a home.’

Meanwhile, Brian May revealed Queen are in talks to play a Live Aid-style benefit concert in aid of the victims of the fires. Rockers Metallica yesterday pledged £386,000 to a relief fund, after Sir Elton John and actor Chris Hemsworth each donated £610,000.
